Importing geocaches
Geocaching4Locus supports two ways how can be Geocaches imported / stored into Locus Map. Either import from a web link or manually entering GC code via input dialog.
Import from link
The add-on is able to handle link to the Geocache page on Geocaching.com website. At the moment these website links are supported:
- Short variant, e.g. http://coord.info/GC12345.
- Long variant, e.g. http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC12345_white-noise
- Old variant with GUID, e.g. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=b78a5304-1475-4ac1-aafa-56e9d85764eb
Tapping on these links in your android device you will be asked what to do next with these links. The choice Import cache is a right one. Next the add-on will try to download full details about Geocache and show the import dialog in Locus Map.
Import from GC Code
Since version 1.5, an add-on supports importing Geocaches through entering the GC code. The dialog to enter GC code can be displayed when you tap on Import GC button in the add-on dashboard:
After entering the GC code, the add-on will try to download full details about Geocache and pass them to Locus. The rest is same like in searching nearest caches.
Tip: The button Import GC can be added to panel on map screen in Locus Map. See, how to do it.
Import bookmarks
This feature is since version 2.1. The add-on allows for premium members import bookmarked geocaches on Geocaching.com website. Supported is both importing whole bookmark group and also particular geocaches. This window can be displayed when you tap on Import bookmarks button in the add-on dashboard.
Tip: The button Import bookmarks can be added to panel on map screen in Locus Map. See, how to do it.
