Updating geocaches
Geocaching4Locus add-on contains feature to update a single Geocache, and multiple selected Geocaches in Points Folder in one step.
Updating single Geocache
First, in Locus you have to show details about the Point, as is seen on picture at the right side. The screen with Geocache details can be opened either by tapping on Geocache (Point) on the map, next taping on Point Map label, or by touching on a particular Geocache in Locus Map Points Folder (go to Data manager and select Points Folder with that Geocache).
In this detail screen use a Share button (second button from the right) to display list of actions for external applications and add-ons. Here choose Update cache. Now the add-on will try to download full details about Geocache and replace original data with a new ones.
Downloading additional logs
From a same Geocache detail screen you can download up to 100 additional logs by selecting Download logs action from a list of actions for external applications and add-ons. Locus Map should show all 100 logs by default, but you can change how many logs can be saved in Locus Map Settings → Geocaching → Limit stored logs.
Together with downloading additional logs can be also updated Geocache. This feature is configurable in add-on Preferences → Downloading → Download logs update cache.
Updating more Geocaches
In case you need to update more Geocaches, open the Points
Folder via Data
manager in Locus Map application. Here touch on Tools
button (the rightest button with wrench symbol –
🔧
), which switch the screen into selection mode. After you
select the Geocaches, open an action menu with Other controls
button (the second button from right with caret symbol –
^
) and choose Update caches.
Locus Map then pass selected Geocaches into an add-on. The add-on will try to download full details about Geocaches and replace original data with a new ones.
